Who we are
Our origins
FISK (Financial Institute for Corporate Treasurers) is a not-for-profit organization with foundation status. FISK’s objective is to popularise specialist knowledge about the financial and banking market, financial products and modern methods of corporate liquidity and financial risk management.
An essential part of FISK’s mission is to promote Warsaw and other CEE cities as important financial centres, attracting local and foreign investors.
In addition, FISK is fast becoming an important link and forum for information exchange between financial institutions and companies from all sectors.
Our audience
FISK provides resources, support and training to treasury professionals in all sectors. FISK’s target group includes chief financial officers, company financial directors, corporate treasurers, financial controllers and management board members responsible for financial management, as well as high-level staff in banks, funds and insurance companies.
Our funding
FISK’s public activity is currently financed by donations, gifts, subscriptions, and in the future it is intended to be partly financed by structural funds from the European Union.
Our organisation now
Since its inception in 2009, FISK has carried out its activities through newsletters and a series of specialist seminars, together with sector-specific discussions and events. This is now developing into an annual programme of institution-sponsored seminars, as well as networking events, conferences, articles and publications.
